Since last saturday I'm 21 years old. Means Oct 13th was my birthday. And the reason why I didn't post about it earlier is because - even though I know how ridiculous that sounds - I still couldn't find the time to take the photos from my boyfriend's phone (I always told everyone I didn't want something as useless and time-consuming as a smartphone) and upload it onto my computer. We didn't take a lot of pictures anyway.
I basically just enjoyed being cooked for and eating cake all day. And even though I had a class in the afternoon it was probabely one of the best birthdays I ever had.
Low-key and nothing fancy. I didn't party all night.
The things is why should I even bother with throwing a huge party for a bunch of people when a night out with my boyfriend and going to see Madagascar 3 was even more fun.
- Just because partying in a club or something is what normally would be expected of a 21 year old college student and just because it's one of my flaws to feel uncomfortable when not fulfilling social expectations which I hardly ever do?
Anyways - my mum came to visit us a few days after my birthday and we just basically had a blast. I picked her up from the train station, then I dragged her to a thrift shop where we spent half of our afternoon.
Next day we decided we would have breakfast at a gorgious little french coffee shop. On my way to class I always drive past it and everytime I wanted to go there with a friend the coffee shop was closed.
So this time we finally got there and I had a white banana hot chocolate and a chestnutbutter crepe -
the prices were horrendous.
But looking at the interior and the cute details I would say it was totally worth it.
Oh and in case you didn't notice - I'm a nikon dslr owner now :) (birthday gift from my parents and my grandparents) and I love it. But I have to say that more than half of my pictures are blurry :-/
but (second but) I'm getting better.
After our super expensive but really good breakfast we headed to one of my favourite stores.
It's a store full of cute fabrics, dishes, blankets, bags, threads, buttons -
So...yep...that's about it on my behalf.
What have you been up to?
Happy belated birthday! I discovered your blog via Casey's link-up. Your 21st birthday sounds divine. There's really no certain way to celebrate any birthday - I've discovered. Just as long as you celebrate you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm definitely keeping this day stored in my treasure chest to reminisce about on future rainy days. ;)
ReplyDeleteHey also Happy Birthday from me. I just stumbled across your blog and it's really nice. I like the way you celebrated your birthday, I had mine similar. I just invited my family over and had a nice dinner with them eating cake and laughing about how I used to be when I was younger. It's nice to know that I'm not the only calm college student ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you check out my blog some time I may not have as many readers as you (none ^^) but it's a fresh start. And also thanks for the pictures they are really awesome, nice camera.
xoxo Minnie
