Originally I wanted to post about a gorgious painting of mine but since I am not done yet I guess it has to wait until tomorrow. So, if you're curious about the painting, come back tomorrow. I promise, you won't regret it - unless you don't like colorful paintings - well, no, scratch that - you will like it ;)
So, actually, I planned on posting about these delicious, both gooey and crunchy cookies earlier but there has always been something more important to post about.
2-3 cups of flour, all-purpose
1 cup of butter (equals 2 sticks)
1 1/5 cup of icing sugar
1 small egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
salt
1/2 cup of whipped cream
5 tsp honey
1/2 cup of butter (equals 1 stick)
3 cups of flaked almonds
3 cups of finely chopped semi sweet chocolate
1/2 cup milk
Mix flour, butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract and salt in a bowl and knead dough until it forms a proper ball. Refridgerate for about half an hour.
In the meantime mix cream, honey and butter in a pot, bring to a boil and add flaked almonds.
Roll out the dough on a baking sheet and spread it with the almond mix.
Bake at 320 fahrenheit for about 30-35 min.
Cool on a wire rack (overnight). Once it cooled down cut into little triangles.
Melt chocolate in a pot, add milk and stir carefully until it is smooth and glossy. Dip one end of each bar in the melted chocolate. Wait until the chocolate has hardened. Enjoy.
Love.
